Jayabrata Ray, a teacher of a reputed school in Kurseong, finds himself in a helpless situation after losing his eyesight. Although the school authorities allow him to continue with his job for a while, but all hell breaks loose when he starts getting threat calls from the management asking him to vacate his property that is situated right inside the school premises. Jayabrata, who had also been a student of the same school, could see through their real intention and simply refuses to budge. "Now, I need a pair of eyes," Jayabrata (SaswataChatterjee) tells Ranabir (IndraneilSengupta) over the phone. The message comes loud and clear as we can feel his restlessness, his irritation... For someone who is not blind by birth, it is obvious to get peeved when his whole world turns into an abyss of darkness from where there's no escape. His only weapon to survive is his power of hearing. But the dedicated teacher that he is, Jayabrata doesn't want his students to get affected in any way. He continues guiding them towards light. And his students love him equally.
